Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage Premier – For Real
by Admin on Mar.19, 2010, under Banger Films, Rush Documentary
We all know by now that Tribeca have officially released their complete lineup for their world renowned Festival in New York City. Sam and Scot’s long awaited Rush documentary which saw production give way for a short time while they toured with a small indy group of lads who refer to themselves as a relatively nasty medievil torture device. Check out the links on the film site and if you didn’t see it already, check out the new SHREK movie which is going to open the festival.
There will be an incredible collection of talent collected here as there is every year.

Last week we had a little fun with you as a wee poked fun at the maelstrom of unofficial rumor mongering that was spinning round the net. A bit of an early April fools joke for you. We even picked a real festival to keep you guessing. I enjoyed reading the comments all over the Sphere. I should say that I do have some legitimate info regarding another big announcement coming up shortly. Let’s see what sort of rumours kick up on that?!
Rather than rehash all the old material regarding the film, here are a few links that have pushed through the news alerts:

Headbanger’s Journey DVD Tour – New York City May, 2006

New York City – May 23, 2006
We traveled to NYC for our North American DVD release. It was great to finally see our DVD hit the shelves, especially because we put so much work in to the special features section. We are eager to hear what fans think of the extra Norwegian black metal doc, the interactive heavy metal family tree, and the extended interviews. We worked hard to put a disc together that could piece together the most discerning, die-hard-metaller.
The highlight of the trip was hanging with Mark Morton and Chris Adler of Lamb of God, who participated in a DVD signing session with us. They have always been very supportive of the film and have been helping us spread the word. Fans will obviously have different opinions of Lamb of God and their rise to (relative) popularity, but you can’t deny that they have worked their asses off and are exposing a whole new generation of kids to good old fashioned thrash metal (with a dash of Pantera, of course). Chris even played me a few advance tracks from the new album, “Sacrament”. Sounded great, folks; you’re in for a treat…
